Janet Jackson wasn’t the only person missing from Sunday’s Grammys. Another person you almost saw but didn’t was Nicholas ”Sixx” King. Who? He’s the 27-year-old gatecrasher who mysteriously upstaged the Foo Fighters at last year’s Grammys and interrupted Adam Sandler and Snoop Dogg at last summer’s MTV Video Music Awards. King almost made it on stage at this year’s Grammys, but he tells Entertainment Weekly he was caught by security during rehearsals at Los Angeles’ Staples Center and arrested for trespassing.
On Saturday, King says, he passed himself off as a security guard during rehearsals by wielding the right props. ”I never SAID I was security,” he says. ”I just had the walkie talkie and the headset. They made that assumption.” Ultimately, however, several guards recognized him and had him arrested, he says, leading to a scheduled court appearance on Tuesday. [EW, however, checked with Los Angeles law enforcement officials and could find no record of his arrest, detention, or court date. The District Attorney’s office told EW that King was not on Tuesday’s docket.] King claimed to EW that the arena wanted to press charges, though the Recording Academy did not. Grammy officials may, however, want to keep him from using the domain name grammycrasher.com, the website where he sells a DVD of his exploits, called ”Jackass in the Hood.” He says he’s facing a cease and desist order from the Academy over the
Web address, though at press time, the site was still active.

Christina Aguilera
Christina Aguilera is a giant for a little person. She’ll never intimidate anyone with her slender (yet noticeably enhanced) figure, but her powerful voice and influence have left her head and shoulders above her musical peers, with the exception of one person, Britney Spears.
Britney Spears, despite Christina’s claims, is her rival. They both share the same pedigree, being part of the Mickey Mouse Club that also featured Justin Timberlake and J.C. Chasez of *N Sync, and Keri Russell of Felicity fame. Their rise to fame and success occurred almost in parallel and their dominance of the teen pop market inevitably will lead to continuous comparisons.
But while Britney is the more successful of the two, music industry insiders all consider Christina Aguilera the artist with the best long-term prospects because she relies more on her voice and less on dance and image.
Katherine Heigl
You may remember this green-eyed blonde from
her breakthrough movie, the 1994 romantic comedy,
My Father the Hero. Katherine was the rebellious daughter who had to deal
with her overprotective father while on vacation. We can’t blame Gerard
Depardieu’s character for being that way after having seen Katherine prance
about in a bikini in the film.
Katherine Heigl was born November 24,
1978, in Washington D.C., to parents Paul and Nancy. Raised in New Canaan,
Connecticut, along with her 2 older brothers and older sister, Katherine’s time
in the spotlight began when she started modeling.
katherine heigl models
Once Wilhelmina, a modeling ency, got hold of photos of a then 9-year old Katherine, it didn’t take long for her to get modeling jobs. She appeared in magazine ads and a Sears catalogue, and made her television debut with a role in a Cheerios commercial.
Modeling paved the way to acting for Katherine, as it did for young actresses such as Rachael Leigh Cook and Mena Suvari. By the age of 12, she could
be seen on the silver screen in the 1992 film, That Night, making her
feature film debut.
katherine heigl in my father the hero
After a role in Steven Soderbergh’s King of the Hill, Katherine
appeared as Gerard Depardieu’s daughter in the 1994 remake of the French film,
My Father, the Hero. Her role as the beautiful teen having to bear with her
father’s strict rules was not a stretch for the actress; apparently, she was not
allowed to date until she was 16.
Venturing into the action genre, next
up for Katherine was the film, Under Siege 2: Dark Territory, as Steven
Seagal’s niece.
She only pursued a full-time acting career after graduating from New Canaan High School, where she balanced acting and modeling with the hectic life of a student. With appearances in Seventeen magazine and film and television roles under her belt, Katherine moved to the hub of acting to further her career.
katherine heigl does independent films
Once in LA, she starred in independent films such as Prince Valiant, Stand-Ins (as Rita Hayworth’s stand-in) and the Disney feature, Wish Upon a Star. After a role in the 1998 Bride of Chucky, the latest installment of the Chucky slasher series, and the film Bug Buster, Katherine starred opposite Peter Fonda in the made-for-TV film, The Tempest.
katherine heigl is an alien
Katherine started making herself comfortable on television, becoming a regular on the 1999 short-lived drama Roswell — a former hit alien series on the WB network. She actually auditioned for the three female lead roles before winning the role of Isabel, the “alien on earth” character she portrays on the show.
While working on Roswell, Katherine made time to take on two film projects, with roles in 100 Girls and Valentine.
katherine heigl in the ringer
In the spring of 2001, Katherine appeared in NBC’s TV movie, Ground Zero, but it was shelved by the network for two years, and eventually broadcast in 2003. Also in 2005, Heigl was cast opposite Johnny Knoxville in The Ringer, a Farrelly brothers comedy. Soon after, she was cast as Isabella Linton in the MTV modern adaptation of Emily Bront’s classic novel Wuthering Heights.
katherine heigl knows anatomy
Katherine biggest break has come in the form of the hit series Grey’s Anatomy where she can be seen every week as Dr. Isobel Stevens. With all the good press and accolades the show hass received, we can only assume that Katherine’s star is surely on the rise.
Brittany Snow
Brittany Snow made her debut on Guiding Light on November 9, 1998 as Susan Lemay, a headstrong young girl who is determined to forge a relationship with her natural mother, Harley Spaulding, despite concern from her adoptive father Jim Lemay.
Britany Snow began her career as a model at the age of 3 before moving on to commercials. To date, she has appeared in fifteen national and regional commercials.
Brittany’s television credits include the HBO mini-series From the Earth to the Moon, Sea Quest, Soup to Nuts and Inside Out. ASHLEY JUDD
Although Ashley Judd is the daughter of Naomi Judd and half-sister of Wynonna — the mother and daughter group that make up the country duet the Judds — it’s apparent that Ashley has managed to make a successful name for herself with acting. With a blockbuster and big Hollywood roles under her belt, the acting Judd is only at the beginning of what can be a huge movie career.
Things weren’t always so peachy for the youngest Judd, living in several rundown Kentucky homes with her dirt-poor family. Even without the comforts of what can be considered the bare necessities, such as running water, electricity, or a telephone, the Judd girls still found ways to keep themselves entertained. While Wynonna and her mother sang on the front porch, Ashley would immerse herself in books, acting out the different characters in the stories. Ashley attended 12 schools in 13 years, until her sister and mother made it big in the country music industry.
When Judd graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1990, she initially thought of becoming a Peace Corps volunteer in Africa. Her sister Wynonna advised her to pursue an acting career, and next thing Ashley knew, she was in LA, trying out her luck as an actress. She didn’t need much luck, since the first agency she waltzed into immediately signed her. The same thing happened with her first audition; she got the part in the movie Kuffs, albeit not the part she was originally aiming for.
Judd then moved to the small screen with a recurring role on Star Trek: The Next Generation, as well the part of Swoosie Kurtz’s daughter on the NBC series Sisters from 1991 to 1994. In 1992, she had a role in the made-for-TV movie Till Death Do Us Part and two years later, she appeared in the Roundabout Theater’s revival of Picnic, which was her first time working on Broadway. Judd’s return to the big screen was marked by a starring role in Ruby in Paradise, winner of the Grand Jury Prize at the 1993 Sundance Film Festival. Judd also earned an Independent Spirit Award for her role as Ruby. It was all uphill from thereon.
Even though Judd was mostly in supporting roles in films, her acting was more than merely supportive, and did not go unnoticed. She was Stockard Channing’s druggie daughter in Smoke, Val Kilmer’s strong wife in Heat and Matthew McConaughey’s wife in the southern courtroom drama A Time to Kill. Then came Judd’s Emmy nominated performance, not as merely the wife of a big time actor — she played the young legendary Marilyn in the 1996 HBO biography Norma Jean and Marilyn.
In 1997 Judd co-starred with Morgan Freeman in Kiss the Girls, which raised her status as an actress. The huge box- office success of Double Jeopardy, in which she played a housewife framed for the murder of her husband made up for the box-office duds Judd was involved with, namely Simon Birch (1998) and A Prayer for Owen Meany.
Naomi Judd says that the men swarmed towards her daughter when she was growing up, which is not hard to believe for a woman with such natural beauty, country girl charm, intelligence and incredible appeal. Recently married to Scottish race-car driver Dario Franchitti, Judd has been romantically involved with Robert De Niro (who worked with her in Heat), Matthew McConaughey and Michael Bolton.
Judd recently starred in the box-office disappointment Eye of the Beholder, portrays an Oklahoma mother in the just released Where the Heart Is, and will begin filming for Animal Husbandry this summer. It’s obvious that Ashley Judd has made it big on her own, not needing the last name Judd to increase her profile or acclaim as an actress. She made a point of this, by refusing to appear in the autobiographical movie about the Judds, starring Naomi and Wynonna (she did the narration for the film), as well as Kenny Rogers’ 1993 Rio Diablo which her mother starred in. Ashley has proved that success is in more than just a name. View more phots of Ashley Judd
Jessica Simpson
It’s in Dallas, Texas, that Jessica Ann Simpson was born on July 10, 1980. Growing up in the small town of Richardson, her life was textbook happy. Her father Joe was a psychologist who also served as youth minister in the local Baptist church.
With this background, it was only normal for young Jessica to participate in church activities and so she sang in the choir. Such was her gift that at the age of 12, she auditioned for The Mickey Mouse Club.
When she reached the finals, she froze, choking completely. Unfortunately, she didn’t get the job; Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera were luckier. Nevertheless, this experience served as an important life lesson for Jessica.
She returned to Richardson and bit into the Christian music she had been brought up with. Before long, small label Proclaim Records noticed her voice and offered to record an album. She recorded a number of gospel songs but just as they were angling for a release date, the label went bankrupt.
Not about to give up in the face of adversity, Joe (now her manager) took his daughter on the road, where they worked the Christian Youth Concert circuit. Jessica sang and then sold her home-recorded album after performances. This was a winning formula and while she was still in junior high, Jessica was performing with famous gospel acts like Kirk Franklin and Ce Ce Winans.
Word spread about Simpson and her record sold like hotcakes. More importantly, it wasn’t only Christian music fans who got into her music; pop lovers everywhere were being charmed by her voice. This was just the encouragement Jessica needed to pursue a middle-of-the-road pop music career.
Sure enough, news of Jessica’s success reached important people in the industry. Tommy Mottola of Columbia Records/Sony Music was one of them and he was stunned by Simpson’s voice and skills.
Mottola believed she had the talent to reach mainstream audiences. Still, Jessica made it clear that she would only be onboard if she could maintain her identity. Luckily, Mottola understood what she believed in and supported her decision.
After signing up with the music giant, her debut album Sweet Kisses was released in 1999, giving way to the singles “I Wanna Love You Forever” and “I Think I’m In Love With You.” She then hit the road and showed audiences worldwide what the Jessica Simpson craze was all about.
She joined boy band 98 Degrees for the tour and it didn’t take long for her to fall in love with one of its members, Nick Lachey. Their budding romance only helped the release of their duet, “Where You Are,” off Sweet Kisses.
In June 2001, her sophomore album Irresistible was released. The title track was a smash hit and it went as high as No. 3 on the Top 40 mainstream chart. After some remixes, her third record In This Skin was released in August 2003. However, Jessica Simpson’s life was about to take a drastic turn.
After a short breakup, Jessica and Nick finally got married in October 2002 (which meant that they could finally consummate their union…) and the celebrity marriage had rejoiced gossip columnists everywhere. As a result, MTV offered the couple a reality show based on their everyday life as a couple, much like The Osbournes.
The deal was struck and August 2003 marked the debut of Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica. Although the show overshadowed Simpson’s new album, it became an incredible hit and it was picked up for second and third seasons.
Since the world can’t seem to get enough of their goofy antics, the couple was offered a TV variety special reminiscent of The Sonny and Cher Show.
Katie Holmes
Born two months premature at four pounds, Kate Noelle Holmes made her first appearance on December 18, 1978, in Toledo, Ohio. Her parents, Martin and Kathleen, say that her strong-willed personality is probably from being born premature. Being the youngest in the Holmes clan, completing the family of three other sisters and one brother, Katie was always the baby. As a teenager, she began attending modeling school. When she was sixteen, her teacher invited her to go to a modeling competition with other girls from her class. She competed in the International Modeling and Talent Association by singing, dancing, and reciting a monologue from To Kill a Mockingbird (1962). By the end of that time in New York, Katie won many awards. But she said she didn’t want to model because it wasn’t challenging enough. So when she was seventeen, Katie went to Los Angeles to audition for movies. Luckily, on her second audition, she was cast in the movie, The Ice Storm (1997), directed by Ang Lee. Katie’s character was Libbets Casey, a rich New Yorker, who is pursued by two of the main characters. It was a small part, but it marked the beginning of her professional acting career.
After the excitement of her first movie, Katie began sending in audition tapes for pilot shows. During that time, she was also starring in her all-girls Catholic high school musical, Damn Yankees, as Lola. After Kevin Williamson received her audition tape for his new show, “Dawson’s Creek” (1998), the producers wanted her to come to Hollywood right away and read live for them. But because they wanted her to come on the opening night for Damn Yankees, Katie had to tell them she couldn’t make it. Fortunately, the show’s producers wanted her so much for that role, they rescheduled her callback and the result was she got the part as Joey Potter.
During her first year with “Dawson’s Creek” (1998), Katie was able to do two movies, Disturbing Behavior (1998) and Go (1999), and, for the former, she won Best Breakthrough Female Performance in the 1999 MTV Movie Awards. The following year, she starred next to Michael Douglas in Wonder Boys (2000), playing Hannah Green, a published author and a boarder at her teacher’s (Douglas) house, who has a crush on him, and tries to seduce him.
Her first leading role came in 2002, with Abandon (2002). She played a college student named Katie Burke, who is haunted by the mysterious disappearance of her boyfriend who vanished two years prior.
With “Dawson’s Creek” (1998) coming to a close after six years in May of 2003, it was a bittersweet thing for all the cast. Accustomed to being in North Carolina filming ten months out of a year, the cast members now had the opportunity to make more movies. Katie demonstrated this in October, when she had two new movies, Pieces of April (2003) and The Singing Detective (2003), coming out in that month alone. Pieces of April (2003) is a charming Thanksgiving movie about April (Holmes), the black sheep of her family, who wants to give her family the perfect dinner before her mother passes on. The Singing Detective (2003) is a dark musical where the main character (Robert Downey Jr.) is a writer in a hospital for skin conditions who writes a dark world of seduction and murder in his mind. Katie Holmes plays the kind Nurse Mills who tends to his every need. She also gets to lip-sing and dance in this movie. Her 2004 movie schedule included the upcoming romantic movie First Daughter (2004), in which she plays the President’s (Michael Keaton) daughter, Samantha, who wants to go to college without any Secret Service tagging along. Currently filming for release in 2005 is Batman Begins (2005), a new Batman movie where Katie plays Rachel Dawes, a childhood sweetheart and love interest to Batman/Bruce Wayne.
Justin Timberlake
Justin Timberlake
Singer Justin Timberlake was one of the members of the boy band, ‘N Sync. Timberlake and four others joined together to form ‘N Sync in 1998, and became an instant hit, releasing three albums in a row, all of which sold millions of copies. In 2002, Timberlake released his first solo album, called, Justified. He co-wrote all the songs on the album.
Timberlake was born on January 31, 1981, in Memphis, TN.
He got his start in show business as one of the Mouseketeers in the 1990’s version of Walt Disney’s Mickey Mouse Club.
Timberlake was first among equals in the 1990s teen band *NSYNC. Timberlake sang lead on many tracks of the band’s multi-platinum albums, including *NSYNC (1998), No Strings Attached (2000) and Celebrity (2001), and his charisma and good looks made him a favorite with female fans. (His popularity was helped by his on-again, off-again romance with pop songstress Britney Spears.) Timberlake went solo with the 2002 album Justified, which established him as a hunky urban leading man in the early Mark Wahlberg mode. Justified won Grammy Awards for best pop vocal album and best male pop vocal performance for the single “Cry Me A River.” In 2004, Timberlake found himself at the center of a public rhubarb after he ripped off a portion of fellow singer Janet Jackson’s costume, exposing her breast, during a halftime performance at the Super Bowl. He later apologized for the incident, attributing it to a “wardrobe malfunction.”
Timberlake and fellow *NSYNC member J.C. Chasez were regular cast members (along with Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera) on the 1990s TV revival of The Mickey Mouse Club.
Kathleen Robertson

A pert, brunette ingenue who teased the men of “Beverly Hills, 90210″ for four seasons, Kathleen Robertson played Clare Arnold on the Fox TV series from 1994-97, with her character departing Southern California for France. Around the time she chose to leave the series, the actress was on the big screen as a trashy lesbian in Gregg Araki’s visually striking “Nowhere” (1997).
Born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, Robertson began to study acting, voice, and dance at age 10. She was still in her teens when she played Tina Edison, the genius daughter, in “Maniac Mansions”, a TV series about a family of inventors which aired in the USA on “The Family Channel” (1990-93). In 1992, Robertson had a co-starring role in the Canadian feature “Lapse of Memory” and when she was invited to Los Angeles for its screening, she decided to remain and try her luck in Hollywood. Although only 19 years old, she acclimated quickly and within less than a year, had played a young woman threatened by the plague in “Quiet Killer” (CBS, 1992) and a young woman who, along with Stefanie Powers, was threatened by a street gang in “Survive the Night” (USA Network, 1993). Robertson was also a girl who catches the eye of a troubled teen in “Liar’s Edge” (Showtime, 1992) and a rather seductive young woman in “Blown Away” (HBO, 1993).
